The relationship between the Africa Muslims Agency (AMA) and Jam ‘Eyyatul Qurra’ is indeed a special one. At the core of this relationship is a shared intention to partake in actions that will gain the pleasure of Allah SWT and to be of service to humanity Inshaa-Allah.
During the month of Ramadaan the AMA whole heartedly invested their time and efforts to feed the countless Syrian and Palestinian refugees at the refugee camps in Lebanon. In addition to this they also fed families in Africa and provided much needed aid for the thousands of people in Malawi and Mozambique left destitute due to the devastation of the floods caused by Cyclone Idai. Jam ‘Eyyatul Qurra’ embraced these projects and together with some of the parents of our learners invested in and supported AMA in their efforts to feed these destitute people. On Tuesday, 7 May 2019 we hosted sister Jihan Kaisi at our school for an awareness programme. She facilitated conversations between JEQ students and some of the children at the refugee camps in Lebanon via Skype. This emotional experience provided valuable insight, for both our students and staff, into the daily bleak realities of the refugees.
It is our sincere prayer that the Almighty Allah bless the AMA to continue the beautiful service to humanity. May Allah bless and strengthen our relationship; may we continue to open our hearts and extend a helping hand to those in need and may it be a practice that persists beyond the month of Ramadaan. JEQ management and staff would like to extend a heartfelt shukran to you all for your continued support and duas.
